Update and uninstall

Update Dawn

Dawn looks for a new version when it starts and every six hours after that. When it finds one, the panel shows the version and an Update and restart button.

Updating stops anything you’re watching. Dawn restarts on the new version, and you can start your stream again.

To look for an update right away, choose Check for Updates… in the tray menu.

Old versions can stop working with the network. If the panel says This version of Dawn is too old, update to keep watching.

Uninstall Dawn

Turn off Open at Login in the tray menu first if you turned it on.

Windows

Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Dawn and choose Uninstall. The uninstaller offers to delete Dawn’s data as well.

macOS

Quit Dawn, then move Dawn from Applications to the Trash. To remove its data too, delete this folder:

~/Library/Application Support/dawn

Linux

Quit Dawn, then run:

sudo apt remove dawn

To remove its data too, delete this folder:

~/.local/share/dawn
